La Roche Softball Starts Season With 1-3 Record
MYRTLE BEACH, SC -- The La Roche women's softball team sports a 1-3 record through two days at the National Collegiate Sports Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The Lady Redhawks opened the tournament with a 1-0 loss to Clarion University, a Division II school. Kara Jo Egelsky pitched four innings allowing one run on four hits. Kelsey Deem went 3 for 3 in her first collegiate game.
La Roche loss their second game to Illinois College 21-8 before beating Juniata College 13-6. La Roche scored 12 of their 13 runs in the fourth, sixth, and seventh innings.
The Lady Redhawks lost their fourth game to Charleston (WV) 5-2. Charleston is a NCAA Division II school.
