PITTSBURGH, Pa. - La Roche women's tennis hosted Carlow on Friday and in a hard-fought match, would fall, 6-1.
Doubles play would go the way of Carlow, but La Roche did pull oout a victory in #1 doubles as Teresa Munoz Torrado and Danielle Dominick cam through with a 6-2 victory.
Singles play was once again highlighted by Danielle Dominick, who came through with a dominant 6-0, 6-2 victory.
In #1 singles, Teresa Munoz Torrado battled tough, falling 6-2, 6-2, while Finley Hohn fell in #3 singles in a 6-4, 6-2 match.
Klover Habertheir in #5 singles forced a tiebreak, picking up a 6-3 win in set two, after falling 6-4 in set one, but would fall in the tiebreak, 10-4.
Brianna Wynn picked up a pair of games in a 6-0, 6-2 defeat in #4 singles, while #6 singles participant, Paige Smith fell 6-1, 6-4 in another solid match
Next up for the Redhawks is St. Vincent for a doubleheader, traveling to Latrobe on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
