PITTSBURGH, Pa. - La Roche women's tennis traveled to Penn State Behrend on Sunday for an AMCC matchup, but despite a 7-0 defeat, battled the Lions incredibly tough.
Doubles play opened with the Redhawks duo of Teresa Munoz Torrado and Danielle Dominick taking the victory in #1 doubles, coming away with a 6-2 victory. Behrend would win #2 and #3 doubles to take the point.
In #1 singles, Torrado battled to a 6-2, 6-2 defeat and Dominick was in a big time battle in #2 singles, falling in a 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) matchup.
Finley Hohn in #3 singles also had a strong showing despite falling, fighting to a 6-4, 6-2 final.
The final home match is next for La Roche as they play host to Carlow on Friday, Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m.
