PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche women's soccer improved to 2-0 in AMCC play on Tuesday afternoon, defeating Carlow, 3-1.
Just around the midway point of the first half was when the Redhawks scored the first goal of the night, as Angelina McGrath netted the opening goal at 22:59.
It only took La Roche 5:07 to add its second goal of the contest, when Taylor Ramsdell pushed the score to 2-0 and would hold there into the half.
The Redhawks scored its final goal of the game at 59:01 when Zaida Gonzalez Rosado found the back of the net off a Kiki Nemcek assist, going ahead, 3-0.
Carlow scored its lone goal of the match with 1:27 remaining to take away the clean sheet.
La Roche won the shot totals, 19-5 and in shots on goal, 9-2.
The Redhawks return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4 when they travel to Alfred State for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
