PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche women's soccer battled Garrett College on Saturday to close a three-game home stand, ending the day with a 4-0 victory.
The Redhawks jumped ahead in the first half, as Kiki Nemcek scored the game-winning goal at 12:04 on an assist by Angelina McGrath.
The score would stay 1-0 through halftime and La Roche would dominate the second half.
Out of the break, it took just 8:28 for the Redhawks to make it 2-0 when Zaida Gonzalez Rosado scored on an Alexa Harr assist.
McGrath would score the final two goals of the match, the first at 74:03, assisted by Taylor Ramsdell, then again at 84:57, assisted by Teresa Munoz Torrado.
La Roche dominated the shot totals for the second straight game, 21-1 and in shots on goal, 12-0, led by Grace Motuk with five and four from McGrath and Gonzalez Rosado.
The Redhawks return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. when they travel to St. Vincent.
