GROVE CITY, PA – The Lady Redhawks (4-8) lost both games of a double-header to Grove City College (7-5) 4-3 (nine innings), 3-1 in a non-conference game at College Field.

In Game 1, Kara Jo Egelsky (3-3, 2.78 ERA) threw eight strong innings allowing 4 runs (3 earned runs) on eight hits while striking out six batters.

Cara Giannandrea scored two runs and Kelsey Deem added two RBIs. Amanda Varhula and Sydnie Martin each went 2 for 4 in the loss.

In Game 2, Deanna Tritinger allowed one hit on three innings while striking out four batters. Ashley DeVito allowed three runs (two earned) in three innings for the loss.

La Roche recorded only three hits including two by Chelsea Faynor. Ashley Baron went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

The Lady Redhawks will host a double-header against Thiel College on Thursday, March 31 at 3:00 PM.
