Redhawks Battle Mounties To Scoreless Draw

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - La Roche men's soccer regrouped from Saturday's defeat, while not picking up a victory, the Redhawks did earn a point in Wednesday's Senior Day matchup against Mt. Aloysius, ending in a scoreless draw.

Neither side was able to muster much offense and the chances both teams had were easily stuffed out by the two goalkeepers.

Shot totals ended in favor of Mt. Aloysius, 10-3 and shots on goal ended at 5-1 for the Mounties.

Maddox Anderson was stellar in goal, stopping every shot that came his way.

La Roche concludes the regular season next Tuesday, Oct. 28, when they travel to Penn State Altoona for a 7 p.m. opening kick.

Heading into the final Saturday of play, in which La Roche has a bye, the Redhawks are sitting in second place and still can be seeded anywhere from #1 through #5. Official scenarios for the final game will be sorted out come Saturday night.
