Men's Soccer Takes Down Carlow 3-1

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche men's soccer improved to 2-0 in AMCC play on Tuesday afternoon, defeating Carlow, 3-1. It's the first time since 2016 the red and white have won their first two conference games of the season.

After a long feeling out process, the Redhawks finally hit the board at 35:47, when Jack Sadler found Malvin Madzimbamuto to make it 1-0, a score that would stand through the end of the first half.

Just 6:23 elapsed in the second half, when Madzimnamuto gave himself an assist on the stat sheet, connecting with Aiden Mukanos-Kramer to move the lead up to 2-0.

La Roche closed out its scoring 8:04 later, when Madzimbamuto scored his second of the game and seventh of the season, assisted by Christian Mushayuma.

Carlow scored its lone goal of the match at 61:07 to close all scoring in the match.

La Roche won the shot totals, 13-4, but the Celtics held the edge in shots on goal, 5-4.

The Redhawks return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4 when they travel to Alfred State for a 6:15 p.m. kickoff.
