McQueen is the son of John McQueen and Mary Jo Shidel. He has six siblings: Jessica, Johnny, Jordan and Dillon McQueen and Ashley and Lyndsay Bussard.

McQueen's father, John played baseball collegiately for Edinboro University.

McQueen is pursuing a degree in exercise and sports science.
