Redhawks Fall to Panthers On Senior Day

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - La Roche men's lacrosse celebrated a pair of seniors, but were unable to get past Pitt-Bradford, falling to the Panthers, 24-0.

By the end of the first quarter, Pitt.-Bradford had already struck six times. Each goal came fast, almost careless—unassisted runs slicing through, passes threading gaps that shouldn't have existed. La Roche barely had time to reset before the net rippled again.

Still, they stayed. They lined up for every faceoff, even as possession slipped away again and again. Ground balls bounced loose, but more often than not, they rolled toward Bradford sticks. When La Roche finally pushed forward, it was brief—two shots across the entire game, moments that vanished almost as soon as they appeared.

By halftime, it was 12–0. Then 17–0. Then more.

But the story on La Roche's side wasn't the score—it was the endurance.

Calvin Rowland stood in goal for all sixty minutes, absorbing shot after shot, making thirteen saves in a game that could have unraveled much sooner. Defenders like Moses Andrawes and Jeremiah Tate kept chasing, kept contesting, even as turnovers piled up and clears grew harder to find.
