ALTOONA, PA -- The La Roche College golf team got the weekend started with a sixth place finish at the Penn State Altoona Golf Invitational. Penn State Altoona edged out Penn State Behrend on a tiebreaker to earn the team win at Sinking Valley Country Club, their home course. Shenandoah University's Connor McCarthy shot a 73 to win the individual title.

The Redhawks shot a combined 320. Tom O'Toole and Tyler Booher paced the Redhawks with 79s to tie for 15th place. David Wilson and Kordell Collins finished two strokes back to tie for 26th place. Pat McCall finished with an 83 and tied for 36th.

 

The Redhawks will look to defend their Mt. Aloysius College Invitational title when they take the course tomorrow. O'Toole is the returning individual champion.
