La Roche Tennis Stays Close to Home  in the 1st Round of the NCAA Tournament, Will Play Scranton at 9AM on Friday

The La Roche Women's Tennis Team will play their First Round match in the National Division III Tennis Tournament at nearby Carnegie Mellon University. The Lady Redhawks will play the University of Scranton who just recently won the Landmark Conference Tennis Championship with a 5-3 victory over Goucher College. The matchup is set for Friday at 9AM.

The winner of this First Round match will advance to play Johns Hopkins University on Saturday at 9AM. They are currently ranked 7th in the country.

"We're excited to be a part of the NCAA tournament. It has been a long wait for us but we're thrilled to now be competing at the national level" says Head Tennis Coach Aaron Wilf.

This is the first ever trip to the NCAA tournament for a La Roche tennis team and it comes after winning the AMCC Conference Championship last fall.
