ERIE, PA – Kaylee Zozos and Kim McLay both reached base 5 times in La Roche Softball's (12-16, 4-10) 9-3, 9-8 double-header loss to conference-leading Penn State Behrend (23-13, 16-2) on Friday.

Zozos went 3 for 3 with an RBI and run scored and Kim McLay had 2 hits and scored in the Game 1 loss. Brittany Lunt went 1 for 3 with an RBI and Alex Spain scored. Deanna Tritinger and Jodi Walsh both reached base twice and Tritinger threw all 6 innings.

The Lady Redhawks scored 7 runs in the fourth inning of Game 2 to take an 8-6 lead. All nine hitters reached base in the inning including Kim McLay with an RBI double and Alex Spain with a 2-RBI single. However, Penn State Behrend scored 2 runs in the fifth inning and a run in the seventh inning on a walk-off triple.

Lea Kronz went 3 for 3 with a triple, walk, and scored a run. Kim McLay finished with 2 hits, scored twice and added an RBI and Deanna Tritinger had 2 hits. Alex Spain recorded 2 RBI and scored and Ashley Crnkovich and Kaylee Zozos each had a run and scored.

La Roche Softball will travel to Medaille College tomorrow before returning home to play Pitt-Bradford on Sunday.
