Starting pitcher, Kara Jo Egelsky threw her fourth complete game of the season to get the Game 1 win. She allowed only one run (zero earned runs) on a season-low three hits.
Egelsky ran into her only trouble of the game in the top of the first inning but was able to get out of it when catcher Ashley Balzer threw out a Bobcat's player trying to steal second base.
Ashley Baron led the Lady Redhawks with three hits and Cara Giannandrea finished with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Kelsey Deem and Ashley Baron each recorded a three run home run. Jodi Walsh went 2 for 4 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored in the win.
Kelsey Deem and Kim McLay led the Redhawks to a comeback win in Game 2. Pitt-Greensburg held a 3-2 lead before the Lady Redhawks came back in the bottom of the fifth inning.
McLay led off the fifth inning with a double and Deem followed with a walk. Amanda Varhula doubled home McLay and Deem and then scored on a sacrifice fly. The Lady Redhawks added another run on a passed ball to take a 6-3 lead into the sixth inning.
The Bobcats added a pair of runs in the next two innings but La Roche enjoyed a four run sixth inning for a five run cushion.
Deem finished the second game, 2 for 2 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored and a home run and McLay went 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored and a run batted in.
The Lady Redhawks will travel to Hilbert College on Saturday, April 9 at 1:00PM for a double-header against the Hawks.
