PITTSBURGH, pa -- La Roche Men's Soccer (4-11-1, 4-2-1) overcame a 3-1 deficit late in the second half to top AMCC rival Pitt-Greensburg (7-7-1, 3-4) 4-3 in double overtime.
The Redhawks trailed 2-0 at halftime but in the 47th minute, freshman forward Chad Trozzi buried a pass from freshman midfielder Jack Camerson to cut the deficit to one.
The visiting Bobcats scored in the 78th minute to take a 3-1 lead but La Roche stayed resilient and scored in the next minute. Camerson registered his first career goal on a cross from freshman midfielder Tyler Irwin.
Four minutes later sophomore defender Mark D'Uva converted a penalty kick for his first career goal to send it into overtime.
Pitt-Greensburg and La Roche played to a tie for the first twelve minutes of overtime before Tyler Irwin put it away in double overtime.
La Roche Men's Soccer will host Medaille on Saturday, October 23rd at 3:00PM at Redhawks' Field.
