La Roche College is excited to announce that Jordan Dykla has been named head coach of the men's lacrosse program. He spent the 2016-17 season as the top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.
Dykla brings over ten years of coaching experience to the Redhawk campus. He served as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Pittsburgh Central Catholic in 2015-16 and as head coach at Brookfield High School (WI) from 2012-2014. He has been very active in youth programs and currently serves as the president, coach and recruiter of the Pittsburgh Lacrosse Club. He won a Wisconsin High School Hockey State Championship as an assistant coach.
Dykla played collegiately at Milwaukee School of Engineering and pro-am box lacrosse for the Milwaukee Marauders and Pittsburgh Octane.
"First off, I'd like to thank La Roche College and the Athletic Department", said Dykla. "I am grateful for the opportunity to take on this challenge and start a new chapter in this program's journey. I look forward to meeting with my players and getting to know the new one's coming in as quickly as possible. I am excited to put together a staff and turn my efforts to recruiting. I'm also eager to connect with the local lacrosse community around Pittsburgh and be a visible and active presence in growing the game in Western PA. I plan to support this team as a family, a family that exudes pride in itself because it's made of character, fosters a hardworking culture, and is respected in the community. I am committed to the complete student-athlete; any player looking to learn from a coach who cares, any player who wants to be a part of a family, or any player who has something to prove...Join us. We're going to work hard to get better every single day because - we have something to prove."
