PITTSBURGH, PA – The La Roche men's lacrosse team ended their 2017 home schedule falling to Houghton 13-2 on Wednesday afternoon. Prior to the game, the Redhawks honored seniors Jeremy Zang and Alex Lakomy for their contributions to the team.
Houghton scored two early goals and one with a minute left in the first quarter. The Redhawks best chance came when they possessed the ball over the final minute of the quarter. Houghton's keeper made a quality save to keep La Roche off the board.
Houghton took control in the second quarter and entered halftime ahead 10-0. The Redhawks were outshot 29-5 over the first thirty minutes.
The Redhawks evened Houghton with 10 shots a piece in the second half.
La Roche men's lacrosse will conclude their season next Tuesday at Franciscan.
